The Homes of Robert Anderson

Nashville architect, Robert Anderson, never became an internationally acclaimed name, but in the city of Nashville and for Nashvillians who have a true love of modern architecture, he is as much of a household name as any here in Music City.

Through out the 1970’s, Anderson created Nashville homes that stood out like shining beacons from all other homes being built. Crisp angles, wide expanses of glass, spacial awareness, and beautiful midcentury minimalism were trademarks of Anderson’s aesthetics and design.

Anderson, who passed away in 2014, has amassed a cult-like following in Music City. Although modern homes are easier to find in Nashville these days, largely in part to the real estate boom in the last decade, Anderson homes remain unmistakably unique on the architectural landscape.

It’s no surprise that when a Robert Anderson home hits the market, Nashville homebuying connoisseurs and midcentury enthusiasts take notice!
